Can pigs show a
powerful position in society? Although this question may be
strange, it has a substantial meaning in the novel Animal Farm.
Written by George Orwell, Animal Farm is about a group of animals
that rebel against the human race and have pigs take over society.
Eventually, the pigs become the dominant animal in the farm and
become just like humans. For example, the pigs start out by telling
the animals their new society would become different and equal, but
eventually, this just became a full circle. The pigs want more and
more from the animals each day and lie to get what they want. Also,
they are becoming just like the
humanspecies,
specifically by carrying whips and even wearing human clothes.

For example,
the pigs are unloyal and are constantly changing the rules to apply
to their lives, and not the lives of all the animals. Napoleon has
taken away their rights and has lied to them constantly throughout
the book just to get his way. One quote from Animal Farm really
shows how oblivious the animals are to all of this horrible stuff
happening. Orwell writes, It [the commandment] ran: No animal
shall kill any other animal without cause. Somehow or other, the
last two words had slipped out of the animals memory(Orwell 91).
This quote shows that Napoleon is lying to the animals to
constantly achieve what he wants. He is disloyal and betrays the
animals by lying to them about the Commandments. Napoleon also is
acting more like a dictator and treating the animals unfairly.
Throughout the book, Napoleon is very mean to the animals, and
killed many animals on the farm because they all said they had
relations with Snowball, one of Napoleons enemies. Even though
this might not have been true, Napoleon was unloyal and didnt give
them any chance for them to apologize. If the pigs hadnt betrayed
the animals and been kind, they would have created a utopia on
their farm. Orwell wants us to see that Napoleon will always lie to
get his way, but eventually, that doesnt really work out
