What society
defines as modern can change from decade to decade, from year to
year, and even from day to day. Science is an ever-changing field
of study. For example, something that was considered modern last
week may be nonexistent today. Dr. Victor Frankenstein describes
this as an enticement of science, the only field of study where
there is continual food for discovery and wonder (Shelley 29-30).
Scientists today are researching and developing new methods that
could one day cure diseases. They can give a person back their
confidence by reconstructing a mans outward appearance after an
accident. They can also grow donor organs in Petri dishes in a
lab. These sound like amazing advancements that could benefit all
people, and they arebut at what cost?

euthanasiaconsidered murder? Matt Slick defines murder and
killing with two different definitions. He states, Murder is the
unlawful taking of life, and killing is the lawful taking of life
(Slick, What does the Bible say about Euthanasia?). Since killing
is lawful does that make it acceptable? Slick goes on to say,
Technically speaking, if a nation said that euthanasia was
legal, then on a human level it would not be murder. But as
societies often legislate moral issues in contradiction to the
Bible and just because a society might say that euthanasia is good,
does not mean that it is. (Slick, What does the Bible say
)
Slick explains the argument between a Christians worldview
and societys worldview. Just because killing is lawful does not
mean it should be acceptable. Morally speaking, euthanasia should
be illegal and killing should be unlawful. But Christians do not
live in a perfect society. With Brittany, should she have stayed
alive just in case God performed a miracle? Slicks opinion is to
let nature do its thing, he
