Why did he have
to be so stubborn and leave when he got yelled at by his parents?
They told him not to go alone on the boat so many times! Why didn't
he listen? Now the baking sun began to penetrate his face and his
face turned as red as a Crayola marker. No. He wasn't going to sit
here and wait for his death. He was going to try and do as much to
prevent it. But how? Joey had no help, nobody, and worst of all, no
water. He knew his only chance of survival was to explore. Now that
he thought about it he wished he hadn't explored too far. As Joey
began to lurk farther in the dense, forest , he began to cool down
his body due to the high branches and leaves that were acting as
clouds. Every now and then he would get a flash of sunlight.

He was
petrified by fear. Then he understood. This was the bear's pond. He
had come to his death, not seeing the bear. Joey had nothing to
defend himself. He began wondering if he should run, but it was too
late. The Grizzly began growling at him. Joey knew this was his
last moments of life. He began thinking of all his good times like
when he hunting with his dad or when he went fishing. Then he
realized what his only weapon was. The flare gun. As he pulled it

right in front of the bear's path. He didn't want to hurt the
animal. Clearly, all it was trying to do was defend itself. He
decided just to scare it off. As the flare banged out the gun , it
gave off magenta smoke and light in front of the bear. The bear
immediately stopped such as when a bull stops when it sees the red
cape. The bear stopped and it ran out of the woods on its four
powerful legs. Joey was

He was sure the
bear might come back. As he traveled up the lush, green hills, he
then saw a few homes with smoke coming out of them. He rushed
towards there, thinking that there might be a civilization to help
him go back to his home. Then, a war cry pierced the air like a
Klaxon. A few Indians came rushing out with mohawks of feathers on
their head and a good amount of flaming arrows and bows. They
pounced on Joey but he had no weapon, so he didn't attempt to
fight. They grabbed him by the arms and took him to a house.
"NOOO", Joey screamed. "Help me!" he pleaded. But they were deaf to
all of it. They left him in a room with many boar heads that seemed
to scare him. The room was made out of wood and mud. He was left
there and he was bored out of him mind. He fell asleep as he got a
good amount of water and had a dreamless sleep. He was awake with a
girl sitting next to
