Including, Psychoanalysis, which emphasizes the unconscious mind, Behaviorism, which mainly is focused on the use reward and punishment to shape another persons behavior. Also, there is Humanistic psychology that focuses on the inherent goodness of each person and cognitive psychologythat determines how we perceive information. After reading the introduction, I believe that second explanation towards Ethans behavior is focused more on the humanistic view of psychology because the counselor goes on to explain how Ethan is a good person deep down and with more acceptance, that good person will come out. Also, the third explanation for Ethans behavior leans more toward behaviorism.
