1. Peter is a
social worker who works as a Project Director for a non-profits
organization that specifically focuses on youth that are gay or
lesbian. Peter has many responsibilities when it comes to this
position which include overseeing the countless programs that are
run by this organization. These programs that are carried out often
depend on the need of the child. There is individual counseling
that is offered to the youth who struggle with substance abuse,
sexual harassment or even suicidal thoughts. These symptoms are
common amongst people who recently came out of the closet due to
the feeling of being different and alone. (Grobman, 2012) He is
also responsible for watching over his staff to ensure that all of
the tasks are completed smoothly, These tasks include ensuring that
events like their monthly coffee night go off without an issue.
Peter has many different roles in this position. He first
acts as a counselor to the youth. He is there to listen their
problems and to help guide them as they start to realize who they
are as a person. He also works with them to ensure that they have
housing to ensure that they are not living on the street. Most
importantly Peter is there a person that the youth can talk to
without feel like they are being judged for who they are or because
of their issues.

sexual of physical violence from
familyor
friends. They also talked about the civil rights that were taken
away from the youth. The youth were often lost the place that they
were living or lost their job due to being different. (Dubois &
