The study analyses the eating habits of Hispanic and European Americanchildren by taking in account the roles that both income and cultural habits play in the observedpatterns. The level of daily physical activity in Hispanic and European American children fromthe same social category is also compared. The results show that Hispanic American children aremore likely to eat unhealthy foods when they are from low-income families and when they showa higher degree of acculturation in terms of eating habits. Considering these findings, severalrecommendation aimed at reducing obesity rates in Hispanic children are made.MANUSCRIPT5Table of contentAbstract .............................................................................................................................................Table of Contents ..............................................................................................................................Background ........................................................................................ ...
