I had a little
bit of an idea about the project and I myself was really interested
in the conflict on the rocks. There is a big change in artist and
rules at Red Rocks amphitheater from this year to last year. Sound
regulations are now in place at the venue and because of that
multiple mainstream artist refuse to play at the amphitheater. I
chose this specific project because, I want to learn to start
making
musicwith quality
but, also in a manner that I can protect the geologic landscape of
one of the world's more popular venues.
Most of the people I associate with are into the electronic
dance theme. Being around these people and hearing about how
disappointed they are; also hearing about the ifs and whys
about the new sound restrictions made me realize that this could
put a little bit of clarity on the matter. My project wont only
help me but, will help the concert goers around the
schoolunderstand
the reasoning and problem with the sound levels. I hope it will
give people a better understanding about what its actually doing
to the rocks.

To do this I
have set arrangements with a Red Rocks park ranger for a tour; and
a face to face look at what the music is doing to the rocks. After
that, I am going to get the other side of the story and take it
from a artist point of view. By doing both these things, I can get
really solid knowledge about both acts, plus I can use my
information collected to see if there is a level that is just right
for both parties
