Such laws andpolicies include border control, gun laws, immigration, education, and healthcare, amongothers. For instance, conservative states such as Texas are opposed to some enacted laws suchas same-sex marriage. Although the Supreme Court ordered all the states to comply with theruling that same-sex marriages should be allowed, sections of the sates are still opposed to thelaw.
