Selection The
band that I have chosen to write about because I believe they are
significant is Twenty One Pilots.

Over the past decades, music styles have gradually evolved
into many different ones, thus presenting lyrics and rhythms that
will please just about everyone. However, while some people are
pleased with one type of artist or band, others are firmly set
against those same musicians. One band that is currently popular
but also quite controversial is Twenty One Pilots. Tyler Joseph and
Josh Dun, the duo that form this band, claim to be Christians, but
some of their music and performance styles come across as dark and
wild. While they say they are Christians, they are not classified
as Christian artists. Many people have an issue with this, stating
that if they are going to claim to be believers, their music should
reflect that. Although they are not categorized as Christian
artists, their music does utilize biblical truths and has made an

songtalks about
how easy it is to doubt what is going on in life. Although the
artists do not mention Gods name within the song, the lyrics are
describing how mankind is no good without Him. Within the first
verse of this song,
the
bandstates: Scared Ill die of uncertainty / Fear might be the
death of me / Fear leads to
anxiety,
(Joseph, Dun). These lines reveal how crippling fear, uncertainty,
and anxiety can be. The chorus that is repeated several times
throughout the song speaks of how desperate the singer is that he
is not forgotten about. Dont forget abou-bou-bou-bou-bout me /
Even when I doubt you / Im no good without you, no, no, (Joseph,
Dun). The song writer is begging God not to forget him because he
knows that he cannot do things without Gods help. The writer
recognizes that he does doubt God but even within this doubt, he
knows God can handle
