While Sylvia
and Will are running away to the new time zone the timekeeper is
chasing them in his car the next road over. Before he leaves the
car to chase them on foot he gets his time wired, adding an hour to
his watch. We were going to make it. Both of us, together. We had
enough time to reach the city border.Stop, he shouted at the top
of his lungs gasping for air. The timekeeper was sprinting towards
us. He was ahead of us running away from our sanctuary, our time.
We had nowhere to go. He had cut us off and were now at a dead
stop. We were both thinking it
What do we do now? I look down at
our arms. We only had seconds left. We needed to keep going
otherwise we are going to clock out. There was nowhere to run and
the timekeeper knew that. The timekeeper looks down at both of our
arms as our sleeves are folded up and our full clock visible. He
can see that we are almost dead with only seconds left on our arms.
Let her live, she can take my time, Will says to the timekeeper.
What is he doing? Where am I going to go, my life is with him. My
father wont accept me back. One of us can survive, she can take
my time. The timekeeper is silent. He is waiting out our time and
we only have twenty seconds left. Will, we have a few seconds.

BANG. The shot
of the gun pierces my ears. I can see the worry in Wills eyes. He
gives me one last look are he tries to grab my wrist. Everything is
in slow motion. The timekeeper frames his gun dead on Will if he
somehow survived. I wish he survived. How could he. Will was just
trying to save me. The timekeeper changes his direction and points
his gun straight on me. I am by Wills side covered in blood, tears
escaping my eyes. The tears for Will and the anger for the
timekeeper. The timekeeper points the gun up to my head and the
last thing I remember is the BANG of the gun as I am looking at
Will and I feel the tears on my face. Remembering
