As we all know,
Common Core is a state standard in the educational system. The
standard details what kindergarten through 12th grade students
should know, in the English language arts and mathematics at the
end of each grade. Regardless of where students live the Common
Core standards were created to ensure that all students graduate
from high
schoolwith the
skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career, and
life. State
educationstandards have been around since the early 1990s. By
the early 2000s, every state had developed and adopted its own
learningstandards that specify what students should be able to
do. Every state also had its own definition of proficiency, which
is the level at which a student is determined to be sufficiently
educated at each grade level and upon graduation.

will improve with Common Core Standards because all teachers will
be teaching to the same standards within their state. There are
tools to monitor students progress throughout the year, Common
Core State Standards assessments will allow teachers to track the
childs progress instead of making comparisons to other students.
The new standards also provide a way for teachers to measure
student progress throughout the school year and ensure that
students are on the right track in their academics. Common Core
State Standards can also define what students are expected to
learn, with the added benefit of students understanding what they
are learning and
