towards different issues in society are adopted depending on the
prevailing beliefs in such a society. Every trending issue in a
society helps shape the attitudes that people develop and greatly
influences their behavior. There is no question that every society
has a prejudged perception and possible reaction to any event that
may occur within the realm of the society. This prejudgment and
reaction is often informed by the various experiences that the
society may have undergone through in the earlier instances of

Whether women
can attain sexual freedom in a free world is still highly
debatable. As the article by Leslie suggests, twenty-something
women, just like any other adult human being, has sexual desires
that have to be met in one way or another. However, women have to
live within standards that the society has set for them.
Unfortunately, these standards tend to go against the conditions
that must be met to attain sexual freedom. Bell argues that women
ought not care very much about relationships and shouldnt be
devastated when relationships dont work out (27). The society
imposes on the twenty-something ladies clearly discourages any
chance of attaining sexual freedom. Even though not dealing
directly with the question of sexual freedom, Gladwell does give a
useful insight on how the advice people receive from their
environments play a role in the general shaping of how individuals
perceive every other thing that may be going on around them.
