The skin on my
left hip was almost completely scraped off, but I was going to do
it again. I wasnt going to give up. Gaining speed down the hill
with a huge smile on my face, I knew that I would get it this time.
As I quickly turned the bikes handlebars, my shoe laces got caught
in the pedal. At the age of five, I was unaware of Newtons first
law of motion: An object at rest stays at rest and an object in
motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same
direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. I flew off my
bike and hit the ground full force, slid across the pavement, and
came to a stop. I told myself that I needed to learn how to ride
this bike, and my final attempt, after many hours outside, turned
out successful. My

In that room are twelve people having six different conversations at once. There are probably several children running around in circles laughing and squealing, and on the far side of that room is someone trying to get my attention and tell me something important, and probably upset with me because I am many times unable to filter out that person from all of the other noise and commotion in that room called my brain.
Hyperfocus, a symptom of ADHD, can be like a superpower at times, and then the opposite at others. That is one downside of hyperfocusing.
