Is going to
college more beneficial than not going to college? Is it right for
me? Many students who apply to college have doubts and are scared
to make that big step. I believe that college is beneficial to
expand your knowledge through college. College is not the only
option after high school, but it will help with earning more money,
getting a better job, and interacting skills. Money, whether you
like it or not, makes the world go round. You need money to buy the
basic necessities such as food, water, clothes, and a house. As of
April 2013,
collegegraduates with a four year college education makes on
average $30,000 more a year than a student with just a
high
schooldiploma. In an entire lifetime the college graduate makes
$500,000 more. According to the
Universityof
Hawaii, high school graduates earn about $1.2 million in a
lifetime, but with an associate's degree(2-year degree) can earn
$1.6 million. That's a $400,000 difference just for 2 years in
college. Everyone wants to make more money, but not everybody wants
to put in the time and work hard to earn it. Earning a bachelors
or associates degree takes some time, but will help you
financially in the long run.
