I believe group
performance-based projects supports student motivation by promoting
teamwork. I am a firm believer that a student learns and works
better through team driven activities. The students are placed in
mix reading levels cooperative groups to better assist their
performance in lessons/activities. When students are placed into
cooperative groups, all
learningstyles
can be supported. The students work alongside each other despite
their reading levels and work to guide each other on an
assignment/project. In addition, group performance-based projects
supports team building and partnership workmanship.
As previously mention, one technique that I utilize in my own
classroom to support motivation in writing and reading is
literature
