Yes abortion is awful but it is ultimately up to the woman carrying the child. People shame women for having abortions, they say it's murder and that it's selfish. But a lot of factors play into why women get abortions, some of those factors being underage pregnancy, rape, medical difficulties, money, and a number of other reasons. 53 million out of 1.06 million abortions were legal, that leads us to believe the other 40 or 50 million abortions are dangerously and illegally done each year.
