Animal Farm
Essay
Whether it may be in the past or the present, power can
change a person into doing horrible things. To some, they will use
any means of tactics to obtain power. In Animal Farm by George
Orwell, he uses the story to portray the Russian Revolution. One
event that happened in Animal Farm was when Napoleon starved the
hens to death when they werent willing to lay eggs. A historical
event that could relate to this is when Stalin starved millions of
his people when they didnt want to work. Through the uses of
symbolism in the story, it reveals how too much power tends to
change a person by that they do horrible things, which causes
conflict between individual rights and societal concerns.

In the story,
Napoleon frames as well as kill his comrades to get to his goal,
while creating fear among
the
animals. In the event of the trial, Napoleon gave the signal
and Immediately the dogs bounded forward, seized the four of the
pigs by the ear and dragged them, squealing with pain and terror,
to Napoleon's feet (Orwell 92). From Animal Farm, one can tell
that to reach his goal, Napoleon was willing to frame as well as
kill his comrades for power. The four pigs that went against him
was executed by Napoleon's nine dogs, which arouse fear among the
other animals. Due to fear and murder, Napoleon reached closer to
his goal, ruling over the animals. Napoleon's behavior in the story
is similar to Joseph Stalins disregard for his allies and friends
to pursue a certain goal, power. From the research, Stalin is said
that during his reign, he did not oblige to the policies or laws
created and killed those who oppose him. Furthermore, After
Lenins death in 1924, Stalin methodically went about destroying
all the old leaders of the Party, taking advantage of their
weakness for standing on

In the story,
Napoleon, who thought that if he had the power he could do
anything, took milk from the cows to give it to the pigs, while all
the other animals are fearing that Mr. Jones is coming back.
Likewise, Napoleon uses the possibility of Mr. Jone coming back to
threaten the other animals through propaganda and fear. Although
Napoleon takes milk from the cows, he states that Our sole object
in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples (
this has been proved by Science, comrades... It is for your sake
that we drink that milk and eat those apples. Do you use know what
would happen if we pigs failed in our duty? Jones would come back!
Yes, Jones would come back!
Now if there was one thing that the
animals were completely certain of, it was that they did not want
Jones to come back (52-53). From the story, it tells that Napoleon
uses fear to manipulate the animals into believing that without
them, the pigs, Mr. Jones would come back. The pigs use that point
since they know that the animals do not want Mr. Jones to come back
and reclaim the farm. Well, Napoleon also uses the word proven by
science to gain the animals trust that they didnt do it for
themselves but for the animals. It also reminded the animals that
the pigs are essential to running the farm. Napoleon's behavior is
similar to Joseph Stalins uses of
