Ethics:Ethics
refers to the moral principles and values that a business upholds.
Being ethical, means positive public perception as it suggests the
business incorporates good corporate governance principles.
Conversely unethical actions can have detrimental effects on the
companys reputation and image. Ray was an ultimate example of
someone in business practicing unethical behaviour. Although under
the supervision and submission of Mac and Dick, Ray still did not
comply with the T and cs of his contract and went ahead with
changes in his franchise company without permission such as adding
on extensions to his outlet. Ray claims to be the founder of mc
Donalds upon arriving at Minnesota at the opening of a new
franchise when in actual fact it was mac and dick who established
the Mc Donalds brand. He further goes on to

This although
not necessarily illegal is still unjustified behaviour as it shows
the extent that Ray is prepaerd to go to have everything. He was
selfish and from the beginning displayed conflict of interet as he
was not prepared to assist the brothers to grow their brand but
rather to steal it as his own. Rays behaviour can be directly
contrasted withn that of Mac and Dick as they ensured ethical
behaviour was instilled in their manangement policies. They were
loyal to their customers by not introducing the insta milkshakes
and did not accept the alliance with Coca Cola that ray propsed as
they believed it would ruin their culture and turn the brand into
something too commercialised. They did not believe in shortcuts and
were therefore wary of Ray who easily exploited and misused them to
achieve his own dream of owning the entire Mc Donalds
co-operation. In terms of their ethical approach, Mac and Dicks
approach is priciple based where their values determine where
actions are ethical or unethical. This is evident throught the film
when Ray continues to push forward his ideas but the brothers
decline sayoing it doent comply with
