I was on the
ferry boat with my dad, I was eating snacks my dad packed. My heart
was beating like before I play a basketball game. We were on our
way to Alcatraz, the island off of San Francisco that was once a
jail. Alcatraz was a very famous jail because no one could escape,
except for people who escaped from the island but might've died in
the water or got caught right away. I was 5 or 6 years old and me
and my dad were going to Alcatraz because of a father and
daughter activity. I thought, this day is going to be nice, no
brothers to annoy me and its just me and my dad. That day me and
my dad woke up early to drive to San Francisco, when I woke up I
felt excited and a little nervous because this was the first time I
was going to a jail. Not a lot of people were on the island so

The had 50 rain
jackets to make the raft and they made paddles out of wood. In the
middle of the of the narration I got lost so I dont know what
happened next. After the narrating was over, me and my dad walked
around the island, it was a beautiful sight! You could see the
golden gate bridge and the water underneath, clouds in the sky the
sun was bright my dad said What a nice day, we stood there for a
few seconds and we continued our walk around the island. We walked
through a little tunnel and I had this special moment with my dad,
it was just me and my dad no one else around us. My dad pointed out
this cannon on the side of the walkway he said It was used for
world war 2 but Im still not sure. We did not walk all over
Alcatraz, but I had some special moments with my dad everywhere we
went. What I learned from this trip with my dad was both
information about Alcatraz and how fun a day with dad and no
brothers to annoy
