Throughout most
womens lives, they have become accustomed to the idea of receiving
less in wages compared to a man. A decade ago, women were merely
earning 77 cents for every dollar a man earned. To this day, that
gap still persists. However, new concepts have come to existence on
how women can overcome this gap. But how do women really do this?
In the article, Boundaryless Careers and the

overcome this gap and improve their potential they need to look for
opportunities outside their companies and pursue what can be called

With this, the
wage gap decreased, but only slightly. On the other hand, the wage
gap increased for those who involuntarily left their good job
meaning they either got fired or were laid off. However, the gap
seemed to decrease slightly for those who were in bad jobs and
involuntarily left. Even through all these findings though,
Kronberg concluded that those who were affected by the wage gap
were those who needed the highest paying job in the first place and
gender inequality regarding pay is not an equal opportunity problem

Unfortunately,
a boundaryless career leaves the individual with a sense of
identification with the occupation and not the employer. However,
the organization could benefit from this as it would allow them to
easily fire the employee without taking into consideration their
home situation or financial need. Additionally, since individuals
with a boundaryless career are often temporary, organizations can
cut down on their costs. Compared to a person who has been with the
company for 15 years, an individual with a boundaryless career path
will not be with the company long therefore not costing the company
as much compared to the person with years of experience.
Additionally, organizations may more easily be able to transfer
these individuals to different locations throughout the world. A
boundaryless career though primarily benefits the employee as they
are not tied to one company, one place or one salary and have the
freedom to move
