Why follow
someones words when you can speak up for yourself. Just going
along with what someone says can end up being a very bad thing, you
may not even agree with what they say. In the Crucible many people
are scared to speak their mind and go against Abigail. They all
just follow each others lead and it ends up screwing everything
up. This is just like what happened in Germany in the 1930s and
40s When everyone followed Hitler and how began to make bad
decisions. Also that totally impacted how we live today. In The
Crucible, which takes in 1692, is about the Salem Witch Trials.
Abigail accuses innocent people of using Witchcraft. But everyone
is scared of her and no one wants to go against her. Everyone
somehow believes everything she is saying. She pretty much ends up
running everybody and thing in Salem. She is doing this to
everybody she looks down on. She likes to try and pick out the
easiest person she can, then shell work her magic, and accuse
them. First victim was Tituba which she was a different skin color
and a girl. Everyone agreed because of the stereotypes. But no one
went against her either. Not one person even had the guts to say
something to her. This is the problem with following the leader one
person can just get

Im a good
girl! Im a proper girl!" She is pleading that she has done nothing
wrong, she hasnt sold her soul or played with witchcraft. Which
most people knew was not true, they knew she was guilty of lying.
Just like always no one said I word they kept letting her work her
magic. Just like Abigail Hitler was doing this same thing, he was
pleading his case that what he was doing was right, and creating a
superior race was the way to go. But both of them were wrong, they
had bad intentions with what they were doing. If someone could have
stood up for what they thought or what they believed in, both
situations could have been stopped before they go
