Sometimes I think of prisons in the same way as running a daycare. The prisoners cry, and they get a pacifier. Only credible concerns should be addressed, and the little things should not be tolerated. Inmates are protected by the first, fourth, and eighth amendments. Amendments which keeps correctional officers from violating an inmates freedom of religion, privacy, and due process (due process is the rights of people suspected of or charged with crimes Bohm & Haley, 2011 pg.96) during incarceration.
