Beams can be designed in different shapes,e.g. square, rectangle, triangle (Roger, 2011). During construction of building and rooms asquare or rectangle beam is generally used. For bridges, we use the beam in the shape of anequilateral triangle as they can handle more weight (Lyle P. Carden, 2006). The weights aredistributed across all the sides of the triangle and thus making it conducive to support heavierweights. This is due to the structure of the shape. When a force is placed at the vertex of thetriangle the weight is distributed evenly to both the sides of the joining the vertex thus creating abalance.
