Ashooter attacked students in Saugus High school courtyard where they were before classes beganby a student. This school is in Santa Clarita, California on 14th November 2019. He pulled out agun and shot at the students indiscriminately, killing two of them and injuring others. He thenturned the gun on himself. He died in hospital the next day.The school crisis affected the families of the victims. First, two of the victims died. Lossof loved ones brings feelings of helplessness to families. It also presented a lack of trust in theschool. The families experienced post-traumatic stress disorders and depression. Because most ofthe survivors of the crisis were children, the shooting instilled in them a view of the school as anunsafe place and affected their view of safety in public places as well.
