Good morning
Professor,
Im writing this letter to share a conversation Prof. Vroom
and I had on 10/02/2017. There was a scheduled 6pm appointment to
discuss my assessment. After, the first greeting, the professor
asked a question that completely floored me! He asked why Puerto
Ricans dont
wantto be the 51st
state, but want millions of dollars for aid? I was not able to
respond to his question and nor did I care to.
Especially, Ive not yet communicated with all my
family, nor did
I know if they were alive. I felt this question was inappropriate
and cynical. The last thing I cared about was about taxes and the
lack of. I tried to ignore the question, but the Prof. continued
for 15 minutes how he did research and read five articles about
statehood; that Puerto Ricans voted against it; they dont pay
federal taxes; how they feel entailed to our tax dollars. I
interrupted him at one time and told him I dont know why and lets
cut the chit chat and lets review the assignment.

Our session
lasted an hour and 54 minutes-- I learned Im extremely emotional,
I dont pay attention to detail, I dont follow instructions, the
lack of networking tells a lot about me and Im a very high Surgent
with very low precursors. Lets not forget the constant reminder
that Puerto Rico is not the 51st
